Incompetency @ its finest. Vehicle was serviced and less than 2 mos later the engine blew @ 74,000 mi. Terrible mechanics and a waste of $$$!

Made an appointment for my transmission... specifically said that was reason for visit. After driving to the shop for 30 minutes, was advised to bring it to a transmission shop. Maybe don't take my appointment next time. Do NOT recommend
Update: thanks for the snarky response about predicting the issue over the phone. What this comes down to is I mentioned transmission over the phone and said the EXACT SAME THING in person. You people are a joke and the customer service is appalling since Bill is gone. Again, DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you want to be talked down to and given the run around. I'll never return to this place despite them being primary service of my vehicle for 5 years. There are more respectful shops in the valley and this is NOT one of them.

I have lived next to this location for over 13 years, and every time, I have wanted to make this location my permanent local mechanic. However, every time I have gone to get work done on my vehicle, I get someone saying that they are too busy to take new business or their short-handed. This location also wanted to charge me $500.00 to change a battery (really?? !!) He said because my battery is located by the front wheel well, he is taking the tire off, and putting back on was a lot of labor... hmmm ( hate to see what they would charge to drop an engine 😒) needless to say, I went elsewhere and got one for 1/2 of what they were asking...apparently they want a different type of clientele. Absolutely amazing work. Thorough, honest, & knowledgeable of modified off-road vehicles. 75 point inspections to help diagnose what was going on with my jeep & they did one of the most in depth inspections I’ve ever received. Didn’t give me a hard time about it being modified like the jeep dealership would have. Always support small businesses and local shops when servicing your vehicles, they will always be honest rather than gouging you at the dealer for services that you don’t need.

I called to set up an appointment for an oil change. The guy on the phone was very condescending and rude. Needless to say l will not ever be using this business for any of my car needs. Learn customer service skills to gain customers. It's as simple as that.

The front left headlight on my 2027 Buick LaCrosse failed. It's lit through an HID lamp. Everything on line indicated that, in order to replace it, my front bumper needed to removed, consuming about 2-3 hours of labor. Javier, however, was able to remove and replace the lamp without removing the bumper. He was amazing and saved me a bunch of money. He showed great professionalism and gave wonderful customer service.

Horrible experience! My check engine light was on and the code was p0101(MAF) .I knew that going in so when I got back to the shop and I was given a bill for diagnostics $323 I have never paid more than $130 for diagnostics before. I couldnt believe it and upon questioning him what that was for. He said well it took a long time to diagnose it . I told you that when I brought it
here . They said I needed a Nissan OEM MAF sensor and ..the estimate was $617 for the part plus labor. That's crazy and they were over $300 higher than repair pals highest estimate. Don't let all those good ratings fool you because I was ripped off and if the owner cares as much as the reviews say than I should have a refund coming. I got absolutely nothing for $323.

After having taken my Kia Sorento to a local Kia dealership for a routine oil change, the dealership claimed that there was over $3000 worth of ‘critical’ work needed on the car. Instead, I brought my car into 25th Street Automotive (due to their excellent reviews). They were extremely transparent with what was essential (which was considerably less than $3K), verses simply tying to sell more service to make more money. Rarely does a car owner know more about their vehicle than an experienced mechanic/technician. So we are usually at the mercy of ethical people. I now only bring my car here because the experience has been honest, clear, consistent and friendly. I highly recommend these guys.

These guys are the best. I 100% trust them and their judgement. I’ve never had a problem with their work, prices are reasonable, and they are completely transparent about what needs to be done and why. They have even told me when it was time to let go of an old car and also encouraged me to hang onto my current one that is in really good shape and has many more years of life left. I won’t go to another mechanic.

I wanted to go here because it was close to me. However, they were very rude over the phone. I asked a few questions and was met with a condescending tone. I asked a friend about them and they said they were extremely rude to him as well and even messed up his engine. I am really shocked I had this experience because they had great reviews. I called a couple other shops down the street and was met with much more kindness.

Mike is VERY condescending!!
I have taken my automobile to 25th street automotive twice. The first time I thought it was great. They did the work and made recommendations on what needed to be taken care of. The price I thought was fair and competitive.
I dropped my car off there today. I received a call from Mike a couple of hours later. What he said to me is still very much stinging my ear as well as my attitude toward this company. So Mike gave me the run down of things that were due to be taken care of. Then he said we've gone over this before. We went over this last time. How many times do we need to go over this? I'm thinking what the hell?? You know absolutely nothing about my finances. You know absolutely nothing about my medical needs. You know absolutely nothing about me.
So Mike, Here's your answer. We don't have to go over this ever ever again. I don't have to bring my car back there, not ever.

I was referred to 25th St Automotive by my former neighbors and have taken my Toyota Corolla there as needed for oil change, scheduled maintenance. I'm pleased with their service and recommend them to anyone looking for good mechanics to take your vehicle to. Also thankful to Bill with the driving you home and pick you up again service when vehicle is ready.

brought my car in to repair my ac. they couldnt fix it because its a new ac system, but they waived all fees since they couldn't service the car. they're good, honest, hard working people and i would definitely recommend this place.

Honest guys who know cars. I've asked about doing transmission work and they advised against it. I've taken my car in for mysterious issues and they document what they've done in detail and advise against throwing money at a problem until they know it will fix it.

Bill and his team were able to schedule me in a timely manner, accurately diagnose the problem, and get my car back to me later the same afternoon. What an incredible experience. We have a clunker that was making a terrible squeal, and they used a stethoscope to diagnose exactly what was making the noise! Knowledgeable, honest, meticulous, hard-working, kind, wonderful business. They completely explained the problem and our options, and were careful of our budget. We have found our forever auto repair shop. THANK YOU guys!

I've taken my vehicles here a couple of times for work I'm too afraid to do myself and both times they were efficient and knowledgeable. First repair was when my gear shift was not going into place and the second was for my heat/ac blower that required getting under my steering column and removing break pedal.

Check fluids and oil change.
Mr Hightower, the owner, checked my fluids for free.
He acted in an honest, ethical and fair way.
He had a reward certificate on the wall and he deserved
the reward.
I will absolutely use his auto service again whenever I need
oil changes and changing of fluids and do other repair work.

Good repair shop to go to!
I have had both routine and extra repairs done at 25th Street automotive in the past, always good work. Recently I had my carrier bushing go out and damaged driveshaft - they were able to squeeze my truck in their busy schedule and repaired all on time.

This is the first mechanic shop I have found that is honest and not going to hustle you for your money. They are honest and will tell you what should be done. There is no pressure or anxiety with this company. This is a mechanic that wants to help out and have long-term customers. I would recommend 10/10!

My mom has been coming here for years and it was finally my turn to bring my car in for the first time! Not only was everyone super friendly, but they were straight to the point and honest about my vehicle while staying professional and offering solutions. The guys here gave great service and were very timely as well and only had my car for just a few hours. Overall a great first experience and I will continue going here in the future!

I had an awful fuel smell especially after I would fill up my tank, their diagnostic quote was $50 less than the 5 other places. Bill was outstanding and went out of his way to explain things. They fixed a crack on a part on my fuel tank and it ended up being less than they predicited due to my fuel pump working fine. I would 100% go back. It felt super fair and trusted and they are close to our house! 10/10 recommend.

I was referred here by my partner who loved the mechanics and their honesty. I came for an oil change and they informed me I should also perform a brake fluid flush and estimated when I would need to purchase new tires. They provided me with a ride to/from my apartment which is nearby and I appreciated this as I otherwise would have had to spend $ on a cab.
Friendly mechanics who did exactly what I needed and didn’t pressure for more as other places often do! Highly recommend!

Bill and his team provide excellent customer service. You can tell they take pride in their work and make things right if there's any issue. Pricing is fair and I really appreciate the follow up call for progress report and plan of action to repair. They also provide shuttle service if you need a ride closeby which was an unexpected plus!
